CrossRoads to Hope
Since opening our doors in September 2016, CrossRoads to Hope Shelter has provided refuge to more than 400 homeless women and children. As the only walk-in emergency overnight shelter for homeless women and children in Owensboro/Daviess County, CrossRoads to Hope fills a vital missing link in our community’s continuum of care for this underserved, yet growing demographic.
Guests are served a hot meal and provided safe shelter between the hours of 6:00 pm and 8:00 am. There is no application process and no wait time. Women need only to walk in to be served.
How Can I help?
CrossRoads to Hope is staffed overnight by volunteers just like you. As a new volunteer you will “shadow” an experienced volunteer until you are comfortable on your own and even then a member of our Shelter Team is only a phone call away.
