A disabled senior in Owensboro who depends on the use of a walker to get around had a big problem. The porch outside of her front door was rotting through except for a small area just outside the door.  This made for a very tight turn as she made her way out of the door, down a wheelchair ramp, and to her vehicle.  Not only was this a challenge, it was a big safety issue.

A group of volunteers from Bellevue Baptist decided to adopt the project, and last Saturday the team tore out the old porch and wheelchair ramp and built new ones from scratch!  The storm door leading into the house was broken and being held closed with rope.  The team also donated and installed a brand new storm door.
